Instead, look around at the people who are nearby and see if any of them are acting strangely. Look for ways to escape if you feel like there is something threatening to happen. Lastly, have an idea of places to avoid that would leave you vulnerable in case of an attack.
3 – No after plan
When you find yourself fending off an attack, you need to also know what to do when it’s over. The result could be that you had to use lethal force and will need to call the police. However, you are the one when they arrive and things can go bad quickly.
Make sure to think about what you will say when you call 9-1-1 so that things won’t get ugly when the fight or attack is over. Sometimes the fight is only just beginning once your threat has been neutralized.
