confidence ISSUES?

Health ISSUES?

about our kids programME

At our school we put a big EMPHASIS on making sure we provide a great environment and training for our students, including ones that is free from bullying and street conflict. Bullying is a serious issue for all of us. We know that it can happen anywhere, anytime, and can have devastating consequences. We also know that with the rise of social media, cyberbullying is an increasingly important issue. Where bullying was once confined to the playground, it can now occur online at any time of the day or night. Cyberbullying is just as harmful as face-to-face bullying, and online actions can have real life consequences.

We understand that their LEARNING and DEVELOPMENT needs are different and have a specialised syllabus for each age groups. Learning based through games sparks their imagination and creativity. We allow children to flourish and become who they want to be, we do not stifle them or try to mould them into something they are not.

benefits for your child

Martial arts will help to teach children the art of self-discipline. All too often in the modern day children are accustomed to getting what they want and when they want. Martial arts teaches the restraint and patience for those who would work and achieve their goals.

get active

This programme help kids to get away from their tv screens and off the sofa and encourages them to be more physically active at the same time as having fun. Learning martial arts is a full body workout not only for the body, but mind as well.

setting goals

Having goals is a fantastic way to help them develop and achieve something. This teaches them to set goals in life and deal with either outcome which be beneficial in later life.

Sometimes in the modern day, children find it hard to respect their authoritative figures, however martial arts teaches kids to respect their Instructors and each other as they learn the art of this programme.

Listening skills is key in martial arts as without listening to their Instructor, they will be unable to complete the move correctly. It teaches listening on a one to one basis as well in a group and demonstrating these skills allows children to progress and flourish.

build confidence

When a child masters a new skill or move it will boost their confidence and gives them a real sense of achievement. Working their way up through ranks shows that hard work pays off and they have something to be confident about.

Often in practice classes will work in pairs or groups to practise new skills and moves. This not only teaches them to respect the other children but to work together to achieve their goals. They soon learn that sometimes two heads are better then one!

conflict resolution

A common misconception of martial arts is that they promote violent behaviour but in fact it is quite the opposite. Martial arts teaches children peaceful, non-violent resolution skills and emphasis than physical altercations must be avoided unless they are attacked or physically assaulted.

A lot of potential situations of conflict can be avoided if we know how to respond, what actions we can take before, during and after an altercation and how to minimise the risk of such circumstances ever taking place.
In essence you need a road map that will help you get from where you are to where you want to be, namely safe and happy!
With correct instruction that is principle led and based, pupils can immediately develop an understanding of what they need to do to empower themselves and make better choices when out and about.

Whilst nothing can replace high quality instructor-led training, we have prepared a downloadable anti-bullying guide for the community.
